As The Second Vermont Republic Sputters to Its End...

... apparently the new plan to attain relevance in our time by the secesher brain trust is a concerted anti-Bernie Sanders campaign by Vermont's flailing secessionists.

The publisher of SVR's hate blog, Rob Williams, points us to this piece by longtime secesher flack, Bill Kauffman, as though it isn't a piece of transparent, partisan "analysis." Kauffman "analysis" relies entirely on the musings of, at one time or another, three of Vermont's best known crackpots. (I've written before about Kauffman here. Kauffman is also a contributor to the notoriously anti-Semitic, neo-Confederate and racist Chronicles magazine. Williams suggests to us that he has a relationship with Bernie - that's a laugh since Bernie has a short fuse around assholes like Williams. Although he is well aware about his Dixie singing founder of SVR, the quite dead Thomas H. Naylor,, Kauffman never discloses what he also knows about the SVR-Williams'-Naylor's many, many ties to racists and homophobes like the declared anti-Semites and racist League of the South, delegates from the racist Southern National Congress, and Williams past publication of the ravings of racist UVM prof. Robert S. Griffin, anti-Semites like Carol Moore and Dennis Morrisseau (too name only two of his Jew loathers), the racist LoSer board of director and convicted felon Franklin Sanders (no relation to Bernie), as well as the particularly nasty homophobes at South Carolina's Christian Exodus who Rob invited to Vermont because they like him.

In short, with no successes that he in the more than ten years that he's been fluffing the secesher hog - a failed publication; a rejected distribution deal; the goal of distribution throughout Vermont never even came close; although he promised them in all towns there has been no meaningful effort to get Vermonters to vote for secession at town meetings; despite his saying seceshers would be in the legislature and proposing legislative articles of secession by 2015, no secesher has come even remotely close to something exceeding a single digit showing when people knew it was a dyed in the wool secessionist running - Williams is now apparently orchestrating anti-Bernie campaign aided by a tiny group of usual suspects (former Bernie friends and/or allies Peter Diamondstone, Greg Guma, Robin Lloyd, Ben Dangle, to name just a few - all seceshers and lifelong losers.

The biggest laugh I got from the piece is that Williams might possibly believe that Bernie Sanders might see him as something better than (as in advisor) the neo-Confederate, anti-Semitic, racist enabler that he is. Next time you see him remember that Bernie sees you for exactly what you are.
"... support for the Pentagon’s F-35 Burlington-based joint strike fighter baffles and infuriates me. I find his cozying up to Lockheed and Sandia Labs perplexing, and his support for Israel maddening.

“Bernie knows I am a secessionist,” says Williams. “I have often suggested he run for president of the 2nd Vermont Republic. I’m not sure he appreciates this.”
Right, Rob. Anyone is bound to be sweeped away by the pleadings of a neo-Confederate, racist and anti-Semitic enabler rather than the platform for the presidency. Williams really is a completely delusional, narcissistic asshole, and Bernie knows it. What Williams didn't say was that more than five years ago Thomas Naylor sought to get Bernie to run as the secesher gubernatorial candidate but who they eventually got to stick his neck out was Dennis Steele, a bad caricature of the Brawny Towel Guy. Although conventional wisdom has long held that Bernie hasn't a chance in the Democratic 2016 primary, the seceshers own track record for failure may push Bernie over the top. Wouldn't that be a trip?

Dennis Morrisseau Continues To Affirm That He Is Truly An Anti-Semitic Pig

Dennis Morrisseau, a one time Rutland County Vermont senate candidate and the disgraced Vietnam War conflict evader who likes to call himself "2LT USArmy [Armor] ret" but who bailed on his comrades
when it came time to fish or cut bait has posted more anti-Semitic disinformation this past Saturday in his completely unhinged "Morrisseau World News" on July 7 at 1:38 AM thus assuring his status as the Vermont secession movement's premier paste eater:
"U.S. Jewish NGOs to get 97% of Homeland Security's defense grant in 2012..."

[snip]

"Jewish non-profit organizations in the United States will receive 97 percent of the funds granted by the Department of Homeland Security for the fiscal year 2012, money which is aimed at dealing with security threats those institutions face."
To which Daffy Denny added in his spam blast to Vermont news organizations,
"Do you clowns have any sort of innocent explanation for this? Any sort of explanation at all?"

"Will you ask (Senator) Bernie (Sanders) how come this is happening?"
I'll take a stab at an answer. It's due to the growing number of Jew baiting nutjobs at David Duke's website, the very active Stormfront website, Paul Craig Robert's website and even Denny's own little trafficked website. Denny's call on Paul Craig Roberts' anti-Semitic messageboard for a list of Jews "so that nature can begin taking it's(sic) course" is a pretty dramatic example of the sort of anti-Semitic murderous activism to be found on secessionist, America hating websites. The part that Dopey Denny snipped out of what little he reproduced from Haaretz here in his shitty little hit piece was,
"While the budget has shrunk in recent years, the threat to Jewish institutions has not changed; as a result, Jewish non-profits will receive a record percentage of the funds."
If I might join Deranged Denny's rhetorical question fest, why didn't Dirtbag Denny's "World News" service include that? Probably because he also didn't want to include,
"While the budget has shrunk in recent years, the threat to Jewish institutions has not changed; as a result, Jewish non-profits will receive a record percentage of the funds." "Jewish non-profit organizations in the United States will receive 97% of the funds granted by the Department of Homeland Security for the fiscal year 2013, money which is aimed at dealing with security threats those institutions face."

"In 2013, Jewish institutions in the U.S. will receive $9.7 million, or 97% of the funds intended for dealing with security threats, as part of the Vital Nonprofit Security Grants distributed by the Department of Homeland Security."

"In 2009, when the white supremacist James W. von Brunn opened fire at the Washington Holocaust Museum, killing a guard, Jewish NGOs received over $9 million out of $15 million allocated to 227 non-profit organizations, aimed to "bolster the security of nonprofit institutions deemed by the Department of Homeland Security to be vulnerable to terrorist attacks."

"In 2010, Jewish institutions received $15 million of the total sum of $19 million distributed by Homeland Security."

"However, in recent years the budget has been shrinking, while the threat level has not changed, resulting in Jewish non-profits - community centers, schools, hospitals, synagogues and charities – primed to receive a record percentage of next year's non-profit funding."

"I'd gladly trade out threat level not to qualify for these grants," William Daroff, vice president for Public Policy of The Jewish Federations of North America told Haaretz."
Dennis Morrisseau: still a misogynistic, Jew hating, conspiracy addled, homeless people despising, 'nucking futs', paste eating scumbag after all these years. Jeezum crow, I so hope he decides to run for the Senate one last time, after saying in 2010 that that run was his "last hurrah." I very much want to write what is the whole truth about this decades long low-life loser and anti-Semitic pig.

It's Independents Day!

No, that's not a typo although I make my fair share. Sometimes it takes years to notice and correct them but the point here is to mention a few, if not all, of the independents running for congressional, statewide and legislative offices in the 2012 election cycle.

First though, as many of the regular readers of this blog know, I've been poking fun at the wouldbe "Senator" Robert "Needed Killin' " Wagner's boast that he had 6 people lined up to run for the Vermont Senate (although he could only name 5) and that he was seeking 24 more to replace the whole Senate with secessionists for the past year. Wagner never got around to naming his sixth person but he has spent a lot of bandwidth spouting off about topics where he clearly has nailed down the fringe position, such as his Marxist-Lenist-Stalinist-lite economic pablum called Georgism. But more on that at another time.

The Vermont Secretary of State's Office has just released its draft list of independent candidates here containing the typical 30+ names of many well intended sorts who'd like to make a difference but who are for the most part clueless as to how to go about doing so. True, there's the occasional political tiger like Bernie Sanders but he's very much the exception to the rule.

This year's slate contains a mother and son congressional duo; a few candidates seeking multiple seats, one of whom favors acronym encrusted solutions while another claims disability from an STD; others are bona fide independents who have contributed to their community and serve in the legislature; and then there are others who'd just like to get to play politician too but haven't figured out the system is geared to Duverger's Law.
"In political science, Duverger's law is a principle which asserts that a plurality rule election system tends to favor a two-party system."
The only secesher that I can find thus far in addition to Wagner is his pal Peter Moss. I've gone over the Secretary of State's draft list here and can't seem to find the three other names that Wagner had listed for the past year as being part of his "The Vermont 30" scheme - the murderously anti-Semitic Dennis Morrisseau, the very angry Peter Garritano
"My name is Peter Garritano. I am constanly pissed off but don't show it. I bite my tongue quite often and vent by writing and screaming at other drivers while alone in my car..."

Source
and the nobody Michael Patno who is a longtime pal of the baas of the Second Vermont Republic, the Dixie singin' Thomas H. Naylor.

From Wagner's website:

I'd thought that I'd be spending the next four months introducing Vermonters to "The 30" secesher wannabes with facts that they'd rather Vermonters not know about them but I guess that's not to be. Looks like I'm left with one befuddled old man and Wagner's raging id - he's announced that he's targeting Addison County's senator who has an impressive personal history of contributing to her community and county, Claire Ayer (D-Weybridge) with what he's promised will be one of the most negative campaigns in recent memory. It'll do.

Meanwhile, in another matter related to Wagner's conflicting positions, there's been no word yet about whether Wagner will be returning the $288.30 Federal subsidy he received while flying out of the airport in Rutland, VT, which is exactly the kind of subsidy that he "is strongly opposed to" and has argued harms Vermonters that I revealed he'd hypocritically availed himself of (as in sticking his snout in the federal money trough) here. Wagner must publicly give back that Federal subsidy money or he'll be exposed for the hypocritical fraud that many of us Vermonters know him to be.

One of Vermont's US Senators, Bernie Sanders, is to Face a Challenge from a Secessionist Candidate in 2012

During the recent run up to Town Meeting Day this year, the mainstream media missed the announcement of a heretofore unknown champion of the ideals first expressed by Vermont's own Magnolia Vermonter, the Dixie singin' Thomas Naylor.

Dylan Patrick Ward, a novice politico and Bellows Falls resident, is bound to make an impact on the 2012 election as he introduces Vermont's newest political party, the Vermont Party for Secession and Mars Colonization. Ward's even included information about noteworthy and distinguished Vermont seceshers like Naylor and his embed in the Occupy movement, Vermont secessionist kingpin Matt Cropp, at his website here.

Of course, this is not the first sojourn by a Vermont secesher electoral aspirant into the final frontier. In September of 2010, while engaged in a secret dispatch to fellow Vermont seceshers on their highly classified Free Vermont listserv, Vermont secesher senate candidate for Washington County, Gaelan Brown, revealed:
"Personally I believe that it's likely that NASA has been collaborating with beings from other planets to mine the dark side of the moon in exchange for them giving us some of their technology."

"(I've seen unexplainable UFOs several times and I know a man who works for Carlisle who says there is heavy investment going on re infrastructure to mine the moon for titanium, H3 (nuclear fuel), and other minerals that are rare on earth.) I have also studied the chem.-trail and HARPP systems/history and there's a lot of sketchy activity in this category as well."

"But I'm not going to focus on these issues in my campaign."
SOURCE
I should let Vermont's newest political secesher speak for himself. Here is Ward's February 18 announcement:
Let's face it Vermonters.

We're better than the other 49.

We're healthier.

Friendlier.

More peaceful.

More in touch with nature.

Our food is the best

(O)ur beer is the best

Our crime is non existent

Our mountains and farms are pristine.

Our people are simple and gentle.

Our colleges are a good mix of quality and affordability (as far as colleges go) and we have a long history of being self sufficient. (see flood of 1927)

And who doesnt
(sic) love Vermont?

Flatlanders flock to get a taste of an area that hasn't been completely ruined by technology and modernity

VPSMC sees this

We realize the supremacy of this great State and understand that now is the time, to go it alone.

The United States, once the greatest entrepreneurial empire the world has ever seen is spiralling uncontrollably into darkness.

Wars, Bailouts, a failing dollar, a stagnant economy and a cartoonish national debt are signing us all up for future slavery and suffering

VPSMC offers a five step plan to freeing Vermont from the shackles of the US federal government and Federal Reserve and positioning it as a world power with complete domination of the world economy and of space.

VPSMC is feilding
(sic) a candidate in the 2012 senate election.

Dylan Patrick Ward, a senior at Bellows Falls Union High School will be challenging Sen. Sanders and whatever chicken shit moron the Republicans wheel out.

Mission
To expand Vermont, suceed
(sic) from The UNion, conquer space, and rise from the rubble of the coming economic crises the one remaining world power.

Ah,"to be or not to be... perchance to dream; ay, therin lies the rub." You see, in young master Ward's zeal to bring change to Vermont, he's misunderstood election law, in that age of majority (or puberty, whichever comes first) is not a part of the criteria for eligibility to run for the US Senate. That exalted state of eligibility comes at the age of 30. Ward could not be sworn into said office until January 3 of 2025 and, should Ward somehow prevail, 12 years will be quite a long time for Vermont to do without its junior US Senator. By the time that Ward could be sworn in, Vermont's senior Senator, Patrick Leahy, would be fast closing in on Robert Byrd's record 51 year US Senate stay.

My standing practice has never been to suggest whether or not someone should vote for or not vote for some particular secesher who is running for an office. My only concern is for the true facts about their qualifications and, more particularly, those facts not being disclosed by the would be secesher candidates. Young master Ward appears at this time to be eminently "unqualified" for the office of United States Senator, however I don't think that should deter Ward's ambition to make a difference. Certainly he's demonstrated a capability for insight that escapes the usual cast of secesher losers and malcontents. He actually likes Vermont and Vermonters; he celebrates Vermont rather than disparaging its people and their supposed shortcomings in a barrage of negative attacks as so many of the presentday secesher pols choose to do.

Unlike his supposed secesher compatriots, I believe we can safely say that Bellows Falls high school senior, Dylan Patrick Ward, is seriously just a-funnin' us with his "advocacy." I don't think I've recently laughed so hard except for when I heard that Cris Ericson was running for something again - it may even be for the US Senate, too. Hopefully, should Ward ever be in the position to do so, he'll pack that first passage manifest to Mars with the Ericsons, Naylors, Cropps, Steeles, Wagners, Morrisseaus and the like, while he himself sticks around a bit longer to encourage us with his optimism and kind thoughts.
